I'm not going to go that far. As much as Penn State is playing a bunch of cupcakes, they play a mean defense. The Big 12 doesn't play a whole lot of D themselves, the offenses there don't get much of a test. Penn State would easily beat Baylor and A&M. They can play with Texas Tech and OK State.

LOL thanks for the :) this week next to Ball State. I like Alabama at #1, but I could stand to see anyone of Penn State, Florida, Oklahoma or Texas ahead of Texas Tech. Sorry, I'm just not ready to annoint them BCS title game eligible yet. Yesterday helped, though. And holy crap is that OL of theirs a dead ringer for the guy in that movie "The Program" or what?

my prediction is that Texas Tech goes down to OK state & also OK.

I think Texas is a better team than Texas Tech & just had a bad game.
Its hard to beat 4 great teams in a row.

I'm not going to say that Texas is out, but they've got an uphill climb to make it. If Texas Tech and Texas end up tied in the Big 12 south, Texas Tech goes to the Big 12 championship game by virtue of their head-to-head win. If they end up in a 3-way or 4-way tie, then Oklahoma is likely to be ranked higher in the BCS, and therefore will go to the Big 12 championship game.

hahahahaha

actually i kinda would have liked Penn St to win out and get totally demolished..
kinda sucks that Texas got beat by Texas Tech.. cuz i still think Texas just had a bad day and Texas Tech had a good one.

I wont be suprised if Texas Tech gets beat tonight.

what? OK State and Texas Tech would both stomp Penn St into mush.
the only teams Penn St would have a chance against in the Big 12 south would be possibly Baylor & Texas A&M

Alabama wont make it past Florida in the SEC championship game. Texas Tech will lose to OK State or Oklahoma. maybe both

if Oklahoma actually had any defense at all, they'd be a superb team.

1. North Texas 0-8 "It's A Long Way To The Top": Unless you are the Mean Green, who share the nation's longest active losing streak at nine games.
2. Washington 0-7 "This House Is On Fire": Like North Texas, the Huskies have lost nine straight games and are winless in '08. Unlike the Mean Green, U-Dub also is looking for a new coach.
3. Washington State 1-7 "Rock & Roll Ain't Noise Pollution": But listening to the Cougars might be. Since Wazzu was off this past week, earplugs weren't needed.
4. Southern Methodist 1-8 "Walk All Over You": Navy didn't even need to attempt a pass to walk to a 34-7 win over the Mustangs.
5. Michigan 2-6 "Black Ice": Changing lanes with Rich Rodriguez didn't figure to be smooth, but the Wolverines never saw this kind of slide coming.
6. San Diego State 1-7 "Hells Bells": Playing "Hells Bells" as entrance music for closer Trevor Hoffman seemed to work for the Padres. Maybe they can loan the sheet music to the Aztecs.
7. Syracuse 1-6 "Back In Black": After a bye week, the Orange's 2008 funeral march continues Saturday with a home game against Louisville.
8. Utah State 1-7 "Shot Down In Flames": Kicked down in flames is more like it. The Aggies were thisclose to a win, but Fresno State's 58-yard field goal as time expired kept Utah State in the Bottom 10.
9. Miami (Ohio) 2-6 "You Shook Me All Night Long": Week 8 No. 9 Kent State shook the RedHawks all night long Saturday, so it's only fair that Miami replaces the Golden Flashes in the Bottom 10.
10. Wyoming 2-6 "For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)": The Bottom 10 is firing off its cannon at the return of the Cowboys to our band.

ESPN.com's Bottom 10, week 10:
1. Washington 0-8 "How the West Was Won": The winless Huskies need to discover how a team from the West can win at least one.
2. Washington State 1-8 "Code of the West": In the 2008 season, the code is losing -- and the Cougars are definitely following that code.
3. San Diego State 1-8 "Lure of the West": The beaches, climate, Gaslamp District and zoo are draws in San Diego, but the Bottom 10 is the only one attracted to the Aztecs.
4. Southern Methodist 1-8 "Passage West": SMU is only a short drive from Fort Worth, which is where the West begins. Most of the Ponies' drives are short. They rank No. 115 in time of possession.
5. Arizona State 2-6 "Romance of the West": Dennis Erickson's first season with the Sun Devils was a honeymoon. A relationship counselor might be required after Year 2.
6. Western Kentucky 2-7 "Into the West": WKU probably should be ranked higher in the Bottom 10's Western edition after losing to former No. 1 North Texas.
7. Alabama-Birmingham 2-7 "Go West, Young Man": The Blazers belong on the Western trail after their 70-14 loss to Southern Mississippi.
8. Idaho 2-8 "Law of the West": It's not surprising that the Vandals would run into trouble with the law. They also run into trouble on defense, where they give up 41.9 points a game.
9. Eastern Michigan 2-8 "East Meets West": The Eagles lost 31-10 at Western Michigan, falling to last place in the MAC West.
10. Michigan 2-7 "The Gun That Won the West": The Wolverines brought in a new sheriff, but he certainly hasn't transformed them into the champions of the West.

Texas Tech looked much better against OK State then I expected... we'll see how they do against OK.
OK doesnt have a defense though.. so I dont know how they will ever stop Texas Tech.. probably be even more high scoring.
It'll be interesting if Texas Tech D can slow OK down.

The super high powered offensives in college make it incredibly unpredictable really. Kind of interesting, but then again as a huge defense fan kinda not.

Texas Tech looks real, will see what happens when they play the Sooners.Bama and Florida ought to be a test for both teams,in the end I think Florida will win.Personally i think Texas Tech deserves the number 1 ranking after the last 2 weeks, they blew out Oak State last night. It's mid November and lets see who loses next.

About the same time the Pac-10 did (barring USC). All the more reason to go back to the old system where the Rose Bowl pits the "best" of those two conferences together and ignores everything else. (Given that the two conferences control the Rose Bowl, and this isn't a year when it hosts the "championship" game, they're going to do something close to that anyway).

Well, you could also argue that we only step up to play during league play...so we end up beating up on each other so no one emerges victorious overall in the national picture.

Top to bottom, the Big Ten is probably the weakest of the BCS conferences. Maybe the Pac-10 is there too

Yeah that's the way I see it. I miss the old Rose Bowl. The BCS solved nothing as people still complain about the rankings. If anything its just made college football feel more like Pro Football, which sucks.
