The 6-pin PCIe power connector is essentially 2x regular 4-pin molex connectors combined. So as long as your power supply can supply enough amps, you can have all molex connectors and use the
adapters instead. Newer units should have at least 2 PCIe connectors these days, so if you do need 4 to power 2 GTX260's, the video cards may even include enough adapters for you.
That being said, what makes you think you need 2x GTX260's? Getting a 30" monitor to play games at 2560x1600? In my experience if you are "unsure", "confused", "thinking about" SLI/CF, you probably
don't need it. If you know what you are doing, you
will know what you need to do.
