It's Slow today so I felt like starting a new thread: What is your favorite Adult beverage?

Mine has to be Jack And Coke.

And it better be Coca-Cola not Pepsi, Rc, Jolt, or any other nock off!

When I was younger. Mr. Daniels and Coke or I just did tequila shots and drank beer.

If you ever get the chance Henessey and Coke is DA BOMB!!! It ain't cheap though. Although a friend recently introduced me to Captian Morgan's Private Stock Rum and Coke. Very Smoove. Hard to find though.

Other then that I'm a beer man. I hate the big american beers though. Mircobrew's, anything Canadain. Glad I live in Detroit it gives a whole new meaning to "Make a run for the Border!" and of course Guinness.

Also my brother sent me this one a while back. Just though you all might like it.

The Buffalo Theory

A herd of buffalo can move only as fast as the slowest buffalo, and when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular culling of the weakest members.
In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells.

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills off brain cells, but, naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, constantly making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.

Well my drink of choice is always Guinness, If I can't get that I maybe go for a Killian's Irish Red, if I can't get that I just get a pop or something (no other good beer out there anyway if it's not Guinness). When I drink with the wife it's usually something like a white russian or an irish coffee with bailey's.

I like Michelob Amber Bock.
I also occasionally like a good Merlot.
Since I graduated college, I don't drink stronger liquor.

Favorite drink?

Here's my criteria:

1) Does it have alcohol in it?

2) Will it kill me immediately?

If the answer to 1 is yes, and the answer to 2 is no, then I'll drink it.

Local beer always tastes better:
http://www.summitbrewing.com/

I prefer the Extra Pale Ale, although much like Mountain Dew, I like it much more with the old label on it. When I'm outside Minnesota, I go for Sierra Nevada's line of beers.

Ahh, let's see.

Beer: Rolling Rock, my favorite, and only beer I'll drink.

Bailey's as a nice drink or two.

And, for the benders, White Russians with Vanilla Stoli.

OK, I'll put mine in:

Beer -- Herforder Pils (tastes like wallpaper paste!)
Wine -- Chateau Margaux or any good Bordeaux
Liquor -- Mezcal (not tequilla), Wild Turkey 101 w/ Coke

My absolute favorite alcoholic drink would be a superb local microbrew downtown, Alactraz's Cablecar Stout. It's perfectly smooth tasteful stout with hints of coffee and cocoa. If you're ever in Indy, go have one. Extreme yum factor.

Homebrew. If I didn't make it myself, I probably won't like it.
What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

CPT Ned:

I'm with you...I just started homebrewing, my first batch was an all-malt Pilsner that was suprisingly good.

As far as faves, my boss ( who got me into homebrewing...cranks out 25 Gal/batch ) made a fantastic India Pale Ale this past Christmas.

Among my favorites: Murphy's Stout, and Old Growler Porter ( hard to find in the U.S. ).
