If you find a deer that's as stupid as a fish can you eat Venison because it's not from a farm.

Either you eat meat or you don't eat meat. Anything else is just fooling yourself.

After reading enough of your various comments, I can testify that you live in your own rendition of the world.

Agreed. It all doesn't make much sense to me, but then, if you think about it, lots of things in this world involve an RDF, not just Apple computers.

kinda baffling, IMO. I don't see a reason to leave MacWorld for a show with way more competition.

Unless they think that they can wipe out the competition's press time. Could be a very aggressive idea that could backfire.

To me moving to CES is a way to get more mainstream eyes versus the mac only MacWorld. My guess is that its more about eyeballs and trying to increase market share than anything.

Right, but if you want the most eyeballs, why not get an event all your own? Apple's every-so-often product announcement events (who else has a product announcement event for a hardware refresh like the new MacBook Pros?) are just the thing. Hell, even TR posts about Apple hardware/software releases. CES is just another once-a-year event in January where Apple doesn't control the schedule. This makes no sense.

I think it is a good idea because you get a lot of Windows users eyes at something like CES and if it were to roll its own mac only show mostly mac type people would show up.

Think about this MacBook Pro 17 inch wins best in show at CES. I am not saying it would but if it did the free publicity winning best in show over all the windows machines would be HUGE.

Yeah, you're right, that's probably their point. I can see all the people who turn their nose up to Macs getting said noses bent out of shape - prepare for the Mac-head and iPhone-user invasion.
