Hi.. Everyone here..
I am going to buy new Sapphire Radeon 4870 512Mb to replace my old X1650.
The problem is that i am worry about my PSU if it can handle and run fine with this video card.
here is my rig:
PSU is Acbel E2 510W with dual 12V rails rating at 18amps each and a 6-pin PCIe connector.
MB ASUS P45 Neo-F
CPU Q6600
2x2Gb Adata pc 6400
monitor Dell SE198WFP
I have read the system requirement for the Radeon 4870 from amd's website, the minimum is 500W and two 75w 6-pin PCIe connectors
but my PSU have one PCIe connector, that mean i have to use 4 to 6-pin adapter and my MB use only a 12V rail. ATI 4870 draw power when load over 270W when full load http://techreport.com/articles.x/14990/15.
Will ATI 4870 run fine on my system??
Thanks in advance for all comments..
