Silverstone Raven

The case is kind of pricey but I really like the looks of the case. Has anyone purchased this case? If so how has the experience been. The main reason I ask this is because this case has the motherboard rotated 90 degrees clockwise.

Looks like the Batmobile  I have to admit it seems cool but I'm pretty sure it JUST came out so I doubt anyone on TR has it yet. I don't see why they didn't make it out of aluminum for that price. Definitely wait for credible reviews before you buy it.

If I were designing that case, I would have flipped the motherboard over to the other panel to keep the CPU near the top-rear of the case for better cooling. The idea is novel, especially for people who like keeping their computers pushed in the corner on the floor, but I don't like the execution.

It's neat to see ideas like this coming to fruition though, I haven't seen something this novel since Lian-Li flipped the motherboard upside down a few years back.

I personally tend to dislike reviewers that don't post real scores for the products they're testing, especially with 3DGameMan. Good, Great, and Best are not proper review scores :x Hardware Canucks do go pretty in depth into the goods and bads of the case but hopefully some bigger sites will post reviews within the week.

I also dislike 3DGameMan's reviews although his videos are great if you want to see the case and whats inside (better than pictures).

It's also on Anandtech's front page, and I think I'll pass. My 14 year old brother might like the design, but, I'm quite partial to my P180; it doesn't even really look like a computer. But I think if there's one thing that sets me off about this case it's the motherboard orientation. I really don't want all of those cables coming out the top, it makes them harder to hide. And all of that plastic adds an air of flimsiness, you know some of that stuff is going to break off, especially if you LAN much; I assume this case appeals to LANer's that like to show their stuff off.

I really like the look and functionality of this case. I have an Antec NSK6850 at the moment, and it is nice, but it isn't working out like I'd though. It is truly kind of cramped for my set-up.

If I had the money, I'd buy one of these right now. Maybe in a few months, when I've saved my nickles and dimes.

I think in this case they wanted to maximize cooling for dual-slot GPUs.

I like the innovation, but from what I've seen the excecution is a bit sloppy, and there are plenty of great cases that are significantly cheaper.
