I installed the latest version of Ubuntu on one of my computers here, and I'm trying to get Firefox setup properly. Unfortunately, neither the auto-updating feature in FF3 nor the Add/Remove feature will add Flash functionality. Oddly, I can see all advertisements but not the videos on You Tube and Video Sift. I am hesitant to download any install files, since I never could figure out how those worked on Linux. Anyone got any ideas for me?

Open Synaptic (under System->Administration) and install the package ubuntu-restricted-extras. You'll get Flash, codecs, Java, and fonts.

You can also download a deb straight from Adobe these days.
