Free XP imaging software

Is there such a thing? If so, which is the best? I don't really even know where to look.

what exactly are you wanting to do ? If its a one time deal acronis is the best of the bunch it just has a time limit.

Or did you mean image/picture viewing/editing/postprocessing software? :o

If you're talking hard-drive imaging, DriveImageXML seems pretty solid. Among other things, it can split its files to CD size, and Ultimate Boot CD for Windows includes the program.

Linux-based whole drive imaging. Not a bad program, but not particularly user friendly. The server edition is pretty powerful as a tool to rapidly deploy images to a large number of systems.

I use it. My 70 year old Father uses it. I had to walk him through on the phone the first time, but there was nary a glitch.

Yep, Macrium Reflect. It works well enough but the free version won't restore an image to a hard drive that's smaller than the drive the image came from.
