Like some other people around here, i'm putting a nice new monitor on my x-mas wish list. For me, as long as there isn't a huge drop in price on the U2410 or the HP 24" IPS i'll probably go with a 2408wfp. I'm just looking to find the best price available. Ebay? I haven't seen any coupons lately and doesn't look like Dell sells it on the normal website anymore. So...anyone know where to get the cheapest price on a 2408? Or have a sweet deal on one of the other monitors i mentioned?

Hint: both HP and Dell have refurbished/outlet sites where you can get those monitors at a substantial discount and still get a 90 day warranty. You have to check back regularly because availability of any particular model comes and goes.

Yeah Uber, delloutlet sells the 2408 for like 429 and even have refurbs of the U2410 for 449 I think. 449 is also the price of the HP at their refurb site. That about as cheap as it's gonna get? I think i can snag a 2408 on ebay for 399/free shipping.

399/free shipping sound like a sweet deal? That's for a new, sealed in box. From what the Ebay store says, it still has dell's 3 yr warranty on it too. I think this might have to be it.

Ahahah, its a nice monitor don't get me wrong sid but... I think its the fact that's its a 20" or something, who knows.

Do you guys think a refurbished one would be a bad idea to buy? Anyone had experiences with refurb dell monitors?

That monitor didn't sell on eBay. Still up for sale.

Sorry ssid, I got a 2408! As a lifetime TN user until this point i'd pretty excited to get it. It won't be here for another week or so but i'll let you guys know how it is.
