One of the best scenes in Bravehart.

Could someone defenestrate that dingleberry that hung the picture catawumpus?

Military lingo isn't used enough either.
I believe a lot of CoD6 players are going to pepper their speech with "hooah" and "oscar mike" any time now.

It's in Webster's Third New International Directory. It's a word, like it or not.

Oh, and agreeance is in the OED. You willing to call something in the OED not a word?

Yes. Abhor.

Oh, I hope not. I hated "hooah" when I was in. And whenever I hear non-military poser types use the lingo, a little piece of me dies.

Swell.

Nobody's swell anymore. Everyone or everything is fine, or okay, or good. What happened to being swell?

True. The last few years I was in, I only said 'hooah' when I wanted to say '**** you'. So whenever I heard something I didn't care for, or was given an order that I thought sucked, my response was 'hooah sir'. It was nice. I don't think anyone ever caught on that I never used the word except on special occasions. :)

Yeah, I find myself typing or saying 10-4 sometimes now as that's the Roger equivalent in trucking. But, I'm trying to use it the same way I used hooah. :)

Trucker CB lingo is hip again? I remember the CB craze of the mid-70s and all of the books printed then that translated trucker lingo.

Breaker one nine, breaker one nine, this here is the Captain, southbound on the I-89 superslab. Anyone got a Bear report?
What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

I say it when that's what I want to say, but can't. It's cathartic. Try it.

No, not at all. But I work in the trucking industry, so there yo ugo. Actually, many truckers don't bother with CBs anymore.

I know that "outwith" is Scottish. Which I find mental cause I have no idea how you would live without that word. So I reckon you should adopt that.
