No wonder it only uses .75w, it only runs at 3.2Mhz. Thanks, I'll be here all week!

I am more interested in the G965 Express integrated graphics chipset, it might make the MacBook a little more attractive if Apple does a refresh in August.
Any idea if the G965 Express integrated graphics chipset can run Windows Vista in all its glory? |

.75W? That's handheld territory. I was thinking my next laptop would be Merom (and it probably still will be) but something running a Yonah pulling that little juice would be pretty amazing.

Last, but not least, Intel took the wraps off a 600SM PCI Phone Adapter, which will allow users to connect standard phones to their computers in order to make voice over IP calls.
Isn't it ironic, how in ten years, we've gone from having PCI cards to connect our computer to our phones to get data, to having PCI cards to connect our phones to our computer to make phone calls? |

Did Intel announce a 975 chipset that works with 800MHz DDR2? It seems weird their new "mainstream" chipset can run at higher memory bandwidths than their old "high end" chipset.

"Souped-up 8080" -- funny. Except IIRC the 8080 debuted at 2MHz (twice as fast as my beloved 6502) so that wouldn't be much of a soup-up. Well, I guess 50% to 100% is a lot. A whole MHz or two just doesn't seem like much, anymore...
Edit, oooh cool, pix and everything: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/8080/index.html |
