When are Nvidia's next offerings supposed to be out? Haven't heard much about it.

Hopefully now that ATMdi is a done deal, they will revamp the model numbering scheme for future products. I am seriously lost in knowing which cards are better, stronger, faster.

If Intel could do it with CPU's, certainly it can be done with GPU's.

Well the x1600xt turning into the x1300pro should be a nice treat for those budget junkies. However for those us who have cash to spend, bring on the directx 10 cards.

An X1950XTX for under $400...sweet!
Its gonna put some nice price pressure on the X1900 series cards.

Wow. There's nothing confusing about any of these cards! </sarcasm>
Am I the only one who thinks they need to change those names around a good bit? Cards with the same "major" name (ie X1950) shouldn't range over $200.

The one real unfortunate thing is that the affordable cards won't be out until October, so we won't see any real pricing impacts until then..

I like how ATi dumped their old high-end cooler - if the new one is anything like its Arctic Cooling brethren, it should mark a considerable improvement.

Then again, I'd rather see real next-gen action than yet another minor upgrade.

how could ati afford to sell 512MB of gdd4 for $399, let alone with a graphics card attached to it? surely the stuff has a huge price premium since its the new kid on the block right?

If you have waited this long for a high end card you may as well wait another month for a DirectX 10 card.

Besides it's now the AMD 1950XTXP-64X2

That 1950 Pro sounds like a really nice proposition if it indeed is available at the quoted price. Sounds like a good and "inexpensive" card to play Oblivion on.

If 1650xt trounces the 7600gt thats fine, but until I see it on this website doing it, I won't believe it, its kinda like when the x700 trounced the 6600gt... Its not like ati's benches are best to go by.
