Back in 1999, I had this great dial-up ISP called freewwweb. It was ad supported, but not like NetZero was. The deal was that it hijacked your browser to load the frewwweb home page everytime you logged on. It was fast, free, and relatively unobtrusive dial up. I loved it.
The company went bankrupt a year later. Turns out bandwidth is expensive. Who knew, right? Ha.
My point: The only way I can see Spiral Frog making money is if the advertising is so in your face that you literally have to click on ads or download an ad client to get music. And people aren't going to do that. They're going to "steal" music instead, because it's easier.
