I don't think there's not much point though, as if it slows down things a LOT in the latest generation cards, I can't even begin to imagine what it'll do to 6-series hardware.

Didn't ATI come out with this too at some point in the past? I seem to remember reading about it before.

We've know about this for a month now since the 91.45 driver was released. It's not news to me.
Although yes the 91.45 driver only supported the GX2 the inf can be moddified to support other cards. It turned out to be a really nice driver not only for the GX2 but everything else too.

The 91.47 driver is also a nice driver. It's only slightly better then the 91.45 driver but both are really nice drivers.
