Well, MS was never the quiet type. Heck, MS is as good as being open-mouthed as Apple is at boasting.

As far as branding goes, I want to see the first one survive before I look forward to the next product.

This should be a great product. I have been using nothing but MS products for cell phones for the past couple years (Pocket PC PDA phones) and they have been great. A first party product with a focus on portable media should be sweet.

I think Apple customers will benefit from this competition.

I wonder if Gates will come out of retirement for an opportunity to compete with his old friend/enemy Steve Jobs. Jobs might be a more worthy opponent this time around...
