Nice - competition is good. Now that Zune is out, may be Apple will start innovating again, instead of milking the same Ipod over and over again.

I would love to purchase an iPhone/PDA combo. Here's hoping.

If Apple would make a phone/iPod it will not include camera or full keyboard etc. The point of the iPod is to exclude functions that are not core-functions. It might be a good phone if it only include phone and music, then the inteface might work... Less is more!!!!

So far, I have agreed with the idea that specialized portable devices are better than general purpose portable devices. However, this is largely because the iPod (a specialized device) is great and most of the generalized devices ("smart phones"), suck.

If Apple could make a general purpose portable device that doesn't suck, then I'd be all for it -- the fewer things that I have to carry around with me, the better.

I wish apple would make a new newton, but I'll probably end up with one of these phones though. I need a new one, but I can wait a few months.
