In case anyone is interested, I called eVGA and asked about the step-up program on this card (and checked a ? about it in their community forums) They both stated that this card will be unavailable for the step-up program... What B.S. I doubt Ill be buying it now.

Either it's a typo, or you're poking fun at Asian's difficulties enunciating the "l" sound.... |

I got mine yesterday and it's running at 650/1600 easy. I don't think I'll take it any higher bc all I was concerned with was getting it to GTX speeds. I ran RTHDRIBL (16 sample) for about an hour and ATITool for about 4.5 hours with no erros. I've been running ATITool, again, for the past 8 hrs now and still no issues (nor did I notice any issues in 3DMark06 or Quake @ 1600x1200 4xSSAA/16xAF UQ) . Thus far, it looks like this thing is rock solid and I got lucky :)

I do not need a new video card.
I do not need a new video card. I do not need a new video card. I do not need a new video card. I do not need a new video card. Ahhhhhhh the temptation! Heh, just kidding. I've already brain washed myself into being perfectly content with my 7600GT. |

Wow, it sounds like they're getting really good yields on their GPUs and the price and availability of these are being limited primarily by memory.

Here's the latest info on the eVGA variant of these cards :
They use the Samsung memory that got eVGA into hot water some months ago. The best guess from users is that this memory is sometimes unstable at GTX spec speeds, even though it should handle them - Samsung sold eVGA bad parts. However, the memory is perfectly stable when underclocked and undervolted, so why waste it? Undervolted. Remember that. Much of the memory may work at GTX spec speeds, but you may need to increase the voltage - via a BIOS flash or another sort of mod. |
