This is a dangerous move by Blizzard, personally I think they were better off putting some more time between Diablo 3 and WOW. They should have developed Starcraft II first since they have not developed a RTS since Warcraft 3 in 2002, then developed Diablo 3 when people are starting to get bored of WOW and it's expansion. I just hope Diablo 3 is different enough to make it a best seller.

I say that Diablo 3 is going to be an expansion for WoW after Burning Crusade. Think about it. What's so different from Diablo and WoW? Besides Orcs, Night Elfs, Gnomes, and Dwarfs.

Summer of 2000 I quit my job at the time to play D2 full time. Now that is scary. Only by sheer force did my GF at the time pull me out of my apartment to find a job. Oh later she gave me babies and a mortgage. happy fuzzies.

if they could somehow mate the h&s of d2 with the rpg elements and vast world of ultima 7... well, the whole world will suffer a massive economic slowdown :P

For those that loved Diablo, I suggest you try Titan Quest and Fate, two excellent Diablo clones. I loved the latter especially, since it was cheap and graphically very fast.
Sacred was also a good choice but it was very very buggy and unbalanced to no end. |

I thought WOW was Diablo 3? Haha. Well three or four years from now we'll have a new game, but if it's going to be the same genre as WOW (wihtout or wihtout mmo) then why would anyone buy it?

Sacred has served me well in waiting for Diablo3. Too bad it was sooooo dang buggy. I crave more Diablo! Even my mom at age 55 loved killing the cows in Diablo2.

hmmmmm.... there was a point in diablo2LOD where I had two accounts full of level 99 chars. I learned java so I could write a bot in 10th grade :D

Oh man. D3. If I had back even a tenth of the time I wasted in the other two, I'd have some nice vacation time accumulated. I'm ready for a good RPG. Let's hope they get it right!

Diablo2 was an MMORPG of sorts but it was so popular because it had LAN play.
Diablo3 needs to also be independant of the MMO bit if it's to get the same rosy treatment as D2LoD. |
