Comments for: Zune won't hurt Apple for at least a year

MS should perhaps stop wasting resources on money losing ventures and just make sure they get their core products right. I suspect MS is going to lose more marketshare to the Mac in the OS market than they'll gain with Zune in the mp3 player market. I think the Mac has a better chance of reaching 10% marketshare in the US than Zune has of reaching 10% marketshare in the US in their respective markets.

Wow, I had such high hopes for the Zune. I was even going to buy one on launch day. All these feature cuts are pathetic, no thanks I'll buy something else.

Ah yes! Typical MS strategy - use FUD to try to destroy the competition before you even release your own product, and then cut out features originally promised at launch, and make new promises that they will be included in ver. 2.0.

Worked for well for releasing Windows. Let's see how well this tactic works with Zune.

If they can't make the wifi useful at launch, Microsoft really just ought to ditch it altogether and use the cost savings to give the Zune a bigger price advantage over the iPod.
