This is the first version of Office I've been looking forward to since before Office 97. I was really happy with Word 6.0 and Excel 5.0, until they mucked it all up in Office 2000 and 2003 with their dynamic menus and auto-everything. I'm actually interested in the new interface for 2007, though.

I only upgraded to Office 2003 because I broke the CD of 2000 and had to write an essay that night on my new computer. Office 2007 looked like crap! Just like Vista does. This is a money sink (unless my college gives it to me for $5 again).

The interface upgrade in our tests was too dramatic for end-users. This new version even though it brings UI changes to make it easier to use, actually will be like going from Word Perfect 5.x to Word: too much change.

Not ruling it out, but Office is too critical for our company and just upgrading on a whim is not possible. Perhaps 2008.

I am excited about Exchange 07, however, voicemail/e-mail integration should be sweet.
