Big news for OEM folks, but vast majority of enthusiast could care less.

Yeah, that one always bugged me too. :-)
Could care less = do care to some degree. Couldn't care less = don't care at all. |

Volume license customers like corporations will be able to get their hands on the new OS two months earlier and torrented two months earlier.

I wonder if they fixed the gaming performance? Everything I've read says gaming performance is 10 - 10% less in Vista.

Finally! I'm going to be running the 64-bit Ultimate version on my AMD X2 rig, but here's what I'm REALLY waiting for:
Running the Home Premium edition on my Pentium III-M 1.26GHz rig. Seriously, this mobile chip is freaking fast when put in a desktop system. Yes, it's only a P3 (not a Pentium M), but I recently paired it with 2 gigs of RAM and an overclocked X850XT video card, and have seen some incredible things coming out of this rig. I'm very curious as to how the final version of Vista will run @ 1680x1050 on this box. I'm finished bragging. |

I shudder at the thought of any companies who install any new version of Windows before the first service pack. I mean hell at my work (Bayer Pharmaceuticals) We are still doing a global rollout of XP.
