R600 doesn't look too big, considering. It's certainly smaller than G80, thanks to (probably) fewer transistors and a smaller fab process. Let's hope performance matches up with exceeds that of its competitor, seeing as it's late to market.

This has nothing to do with the issue at hand but I noticed something:
Reading the translated article the name "CompoTech" keeps popping up, but in the original Chinese text "NVIDIA" is used in Roman text. Thus Google translates "NVIDIA" as "CompoTech". Why? |

Besides then being intrigued about the performance of this. Anyone notice the adds at the top. Here is one that I couldn't believe http://www.msi.com.cn/survey/nx7600wlfb/nx7600wlfb.html can anyone say they've seen this or would actually use this big of a cooler?

Is R600 supposed to be a GPGPU? Cause i know they used a GPGPU in Xbox 360, so it would make sense for them to make a GPGPU for PC since they have already developed one... Also as a few people already mentioned, i would sure hope the ATI GPGPU would outperform NVidia's since it will be a 2nd Generation GPGPU, maybe you won't need 12 pins of power for it either, hopefully their 80nm process will help them get away with only needing a single 6 pin power plug.
