Knowing nothing about the investigation in question, I hope AMD gets busted for anticompetitive behaviour by the DOJ. What great an irony would that be? ;-)

What is it that ATI would have done? Nvidia and ATI were evenly matched market share wise...what's the big deal? Someone care to explain it to me?

I don't see what the problem is exactly.

Intel practically owns the entire GPU market via integrated solutions.

* UPDATE Nvidia has got one too, now. Like AMD, it runs: "No specific allegations have been made against Nvidia. Nvidia plans to cooperate with the DOJ in its investigation."

Looks like AMD's hand are getting burnt without even doing anything... heheeh.. what a hardluck i don't think they have even started earning on the company they purchased..( i mean good amount of profit)
