yes but your automatically a Fanboy if u buy a AMD processor over a Core2, get with the program man.

And there is no explantion u can use to explain your purchase u are a fanboy plain and simple.

Its getting quite out of hand with the stupid labelling actually. Its like calling someone a noob, the word is so over used its hardly and insult. And it makes people that go against the status quo, enjoy this even more cause people get worked up so much over what other people buy!

Ridiculous prices for ridiculous products.

Well... the added price isn't going to help any, but like TR said in their review... it really isn't like any one of these machine setups are slow by any means, the performance gap all you people are talking about is probably only noticeable in benchmarks, in actual use the system is so dang fast you can't tell a difference. Also i find it hilarious that people are trying to say that the AMD system isn't as practical when u consider price. hate to break it to you, but you are so completely wrong i can't help but laugh. If you can afford either a quad fx or a core 2 quad, and are willing to drop the coin needed to purchase either, then price is certainly not an issue, so stop using that lame excuse for top of the line parts, because you don't buy a top end part for the best price/performance ratio. Also reading reviews on newegg, i have noticed many of the reviewers who own those top of the line products tend to own both... why, because they can afford it, and have a level of financial freedom most can only imagine. Basically im not saying that the quad fx system is better, but the argument is so dumb. It's comparing a ferrari to Ford GT, eitherway they are faster than crap.

But on a different note that i am taking more interest in over whether a quad fx is better than a quad core intel is that ZZF sure seems to be giving the Egg a run for their money on prices lately. Maybe we will get lucky and the two will just compete with each other for lower prices, all it can mean is good things for the consumer.

prices are not bad when looking at it as a dual core lone chip - 3.0GHz for $500, 2.6 dual core for $300 though i'd rather get a core 2 for $300, it's a step in the right direction.

Where is the comparison of these against similar Ghz Opty's? Wouldn't Opteron chips + board + ram be more expensive than this setup?
