Microsoft really charge $250 for the UMPC version of Windows XP? Seems a bit steep considering the price of the other OEM versions of XP.

1400$ for a ruggedized laptop isn't all that bad.

The slightly cheaper Linux UMPC sounds great.

Dear Gord, who wants Vista on a laptop, much less on a UMPC??

IN YO FACE MICROSHAFT :P....thats interesting about the price, I guess it must be to do with increased hardware requirements, because I don't think OEM versions of windows cost that much. If they do, microsoft is kinda shoot their own idea in the foot.
