Crappy CRM that is just as proprietary but even more restricted than Apple's FairPlay ... lovely!

And what's with the Zune fanboy? If you like it, great, it does what you want it to do, but that isn't what other people want from their DMP. Some people like managing their music files manually and accessing it by folders rather than a tag database, and they get iRivers and Creative players. Some people just don't have the time for that, and they want a simple rip-sync-play, and the iPod + iTunes is excellent here.

And FM radio, lol, who listens to that any more? An AM radio would be more useful, that's where all the sports and talk channels are... otherwise, hey look, my DMP has music *I* like on it already, and no retard DJ interrupting it.\

But hey, some people like FM radio, even when they're walking around or on the bus, so it is good that there are options for them.

I have a Zune, brown one at that. It replaced my aging 3rd generation 20gig Ipod...which cost more than the Zune when I bought it new.

I dont buy music online, and for what it does the Zune is very nice. The scratch free body, big color screen, and super easy to use buttons and interface are better (to me) then anything in the same class.

I turned off the wireless day one and it was not a reason AT ALL I bought it, in its current form.

MS just needs to firmware/software update the Zune so it can wirelessly sync to your PC/Zune store to STFU every Zune hater once and for all.

I'll take Apple's RDF any time of the day over Ricardo Dawkins's Zune pimpin'. At least Apple has something to gloat about...

I'll stick to Blank CDs as I have plenty of them that I received for Christmas and My car plays MP3 CDs with no problems, Heck I have one in It now and It doesn't even have 6 hours on It, But It's more than enough, If It gets damaged from the heat, I'll replace It as It's expendable. :D

Where oh where is Ricardo Dawkins to defend the Zune?

I believe this is actually kind of old news. Right after the Zune came out I was reading reports that it wouldn't share some artist's songs. The Rolling Stones seems to stick out in my mind from that earlier report.

OLD NEWS !!!!
Not 100% of the content on the ZMP can be shared by WiFi. iFanboys...you should all talkback when the beloved iPod get at small glimpse of wireless sharing...

BOUAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA ! who was that dude that was claiming the Zune still has a chance ? lol

So not only are they paying Universal for every Zune sold but they also can't transfer Universal's songs to other Zunes ?! This is the most ridiculous thing i've heard in a while. Good going MS, with half assed features like these and the total sellout to record labels no wonder the iPod ownz and will contine to own the market.

Not to defend the Zune or anything (I'm an iPod owner), but this is the labels' fault, not the Zune's. This crap was almost certainly a condition of the labels "letting" Microsoft include the sharing feature, i.e. not taking them to court over it or pulling their libraries from the Zune store.

Zune refuses to share around 40% (±2%) of songs from major artists.

Artists with prohibited songs include Blue October, Eminem, Gwen Stefani, Snow Patrol, Jay-Z, and JoJo.

So who are the popular artists that are restricted?

Soooooo.. would someone explain to me what's the one compelling reason for me to buy a Zune other than the fact that you can get it in a turd-like color??

Yeah and I wondered why the Zune couldn't beat the iPod..
The only thing that made the Zune unique is now even more useless.

i think microsoft's overall mission statement has to be "Design products with fantastic features, then reduce feature set to the point where they are more like hinderances"

now i'm wondering if even DX10 is all it's cracked up to be.
