i'm not seeing any kind of emulator packaged w/ the SDK. that'll make it extremely expensive to even start this kind of work, as you'll have to buy the hardware to run your own software in development. :(

on the other hand, it arguably gives me a reason to buy an 8800 now. :)

Is there actually a point to all this considering we can only get single precision (i.e. 32 bit) out the hardware? I don't know about ATI, but I suppose the same limitation exists.

also, it's kind of weird, but the Programming Guide's "8800 Series - Technical Specification" section seems to indicate that it will not currently work with the 320 MB GTS cards.
