According to Derfunkenstein ATI "doesnt exist anymore"........
and I found it amusing that he's not aware that ATi doesn't exist anymore
Must be a bummer for those working there.....

Nvidia hasn't, can't, and won't block CF on SLI chipsets.

Hasn't: Nobody's doing anything to keep CF off of nForce except AMD/ATI.

Can't: It'd be a predatory move and a blatant attempt at tying. Nvidia would get pwnt.

Won't: Same reasons as can't, plus the chipset sales are money, too. Don't forget NF2/3/4 and Xbox1 keeping vital revenue flowing for Nvidia during the darkest GeForce FX days.

Maybe its just me but it seems impossible for nvidia to block crossfire. Everything is done in software.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the disappointing release of the RD600.

Many enthusiasts may want to crossfire the R600, but there is a severe lack of high end boards that support it.

If nVidia won't let Crossfire run on its chipsets, will ATI prevent SLI from running on its chipsets.

It's time to see how far the crossfire can go.

if nvidia blocks it, then it becomes a tying agreement situation, since there is no technical reason why ati cant run xfire other than nvidia wont let them and is taking specific action to prevent the use of competitor's products
