Here's a better translation:
The chief (CEO) of Google Spain confirms that the company is working on developing a mobile phone.

Isabel Aguilera, CEO of Google Spain and Portugal, has confirmed to [news.com] that the company has been working on, "among others", the development of a mobile phone. "Part of the time, our engineers have been dedicated to research a mobile telephone that [queries, uses] information" said Aguilera to this website.

Speculation about Google's possible entrance into the design and sale of mobile phones surged after the company recently published a job ad seeking engineers and analysts specialized in the sector of telecommunications. In that same ad, Google specified that they're in the phase of experimentation with diverse systems of wireless communications.

In a journal of Internet integration and business strategy, organized by the Assocation for the Progress of the Mediterranean Zone, Isabel Aguilera has explained to [news.com] that although 70% of the time the engineers dedicate themselves to the "development of our core business, that is to say, search and advertising" and 20% to develop "products that have a lot to do with our core business", it's true that in 10% of that time they're developing products "that in some [future] moment may have to do with our business".

Within this scope, Aguilera has indicated that "it has been researched" a mobile phone that can "query information", moreso, in the manner of extending the information society of less developed economies. In that sentiment, the CEO of Google Spain & Portugal has made a point of stating though "we can have products that appear strange [weird, unusual], they are all a part of our innovative process."

At this moment, the search engine has 36 products and "another 18 that are in the research labs" and all in phases of experimentation [research], among them the mobile phone just mentioned.
