Given all the note passing and long meaningful looks between Google and Apple, I would have been very surprised to see a google phone.

Now this makes sense, it is certainly a crowded market, and very tough to keep up with the constant technological advances that established firms make. I didn't expect to see a "Google Phone" but perhaps a Motorola phone with a Google brand or extensions pre-installed.
