Real-Time Raytracing does sound good and is arguably quite scalable across CPUs *but* the last time I checked his website Quake 4 ran at a sluggish 17FPS at 256x256(!!) on nothing less than a Core 2 Extreme QX6700(!!).
So think it's pretty safe to say it won't make it using any desktop CPU in the short/mid term future.

Our only hope could come from the dedicated hardware accelerators, but even if they perform will users and dev suddenly feel like throwing away their GPUs for something completely new?

Nice to know that intel is looking ahead and we will keep seeing more uber craptastic intel integrated video well into the future.
