DDR3 is nothing but a huge marketing gimmick for desktop systems.

One of those machines was running set of Corsair Dominator 1GB modules clocked at no less than 2000MHz:
Is that the actual clock, i.e. 2000MHz? Or is it really 1000MHz, taking out the DDR effect? |

I really wish latency was reported as nano seconds instead of clocks, so it would be easier to compare between generations.

It is because memory performance has matter very little in real-world apps since the introduction of A64s and C2D.

Ram.... meh... haven't seen a real performance gain in memory since DDR 400 was introduced (since DDR2 800 performs about the same as DDR400 and DDR3 1333 performs almost identical to DDR2 800 it seems), so kinda hard for me to care on that front. The PSU's I am very interested in however... Corsair's two current PSU's seem to be more than rock stable right now from what i am gathering, so it will be fascinating to see what they do with their next models (hopefully they will be built as high of quality as their current models). Also... i am glad they haven't jumped on the "lets put out a 1kilowatt PSU" bandwagon yet. I would much rather have a high quality 600 watt than a mediocre 1000 watt PSU.
