RAM speed makes so little difference in most things it's unbelievable. For games, your vid card is the bottleneck.

I really don't feel like paying $500+ for a kit of RAM that basically does nothing for me.

You know, I havent really cared about ram since DDR1 came out. I wonder how much of a difference between DDR1 and DDR3 there is in the real world.......too bad you cant really test it, as far as I know.

actually, thats not 100% true. I liked DDR2 for its power consumption.
