My E6400 @3GHz is still good enough for what I need. I'll probably upgrade when X38 motherboards become available.

220$ got me my e6600. Going from 1066 to 1333 FSB was flipping a switch, instant e6850. I then did some lapping to get my HSF to touch most of my CPU and got 1466FSB without any other trouble.

These 1333 FSB chips are good for new C2D owners, but the current ones aren't missing much except Intel's TXT DRM scheme (that's mandatory on all the 1333 FSB chips, BTW).

My 6700 @ 3.4Ghz will do for awhile. No need for a 1333fsb chip yet here. Although I have the usual "ouch" feeling seeing the new prices rolling out...hehe. Nothing new tho. =)

I hope higher speed memory(pc7200,8000 etc) goes down in price, because if this is true you must have no less than pc5400 for it to play correctly are at least the 1:1 fsb memory ratio
