I just got my Wii on Thursday, and from the looks of things, it will probably save my marriage. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get some women to play video games?! She picked up Wario Smooth Moves and has played it non stop with me along with bowling.

I wonder if the iPhone will beat the PS3 in total units sold... Obviously they aren't competitors or anything, but it's kind of interesting in a "Klingons vs Cylons" sort of way -- can the $600 cell phone beat the $600 video game console?

Once MGS4 is announced for the 360 there will absolutely *zero* reasons to own a PS3.

Gotta love the playstation fanboys. When the PS2 outsold everything last generation all the fanboys were yelling about OMFG the PS2 has sold elevety jillion units. Now that the PS3 is getting outsold the total unit sales mean nothing.

I guess selling less units does have one good side less money lost by sony. I think the price cut is a good thing it puts the PS3 more within reason price wise. I make enough money that I can buy any console I want just about any time I want. For me though the price difference between 500 and 600 is a huge difference. Yes its only a hundred bucks but for me it goes from an implulse buy to a do you really need it buy.

Will anyone care?? Its a Wii360 world these days.

Want the cheaper route with lower end graphics, mostly family gaming, mostly single player...go Wii.

Want Next Gen/HD graphics and serious multiplayer action....go 360.

Want to spend alot of money on lame console that has limited games and craptastic Multiplayer....go PS3.

I can see MS responding to this by making the 360 elite $399, the 360 Premium $299 and the 360 core $249 (or eliminating the core altogether).

That better seduce the masses to suddenly buy wagons of games to offset the loses otherwise they'll only end up losing even more money per console and it's not going to be pretty..

Err... the 80GB PS3 is only available in South Korea. Everyone else just gets the 60GB model (except Japan, where you can still get the 20GB, I think).
