What's wrong with DVI? I heard there's bandwidth limitations but only at crazy high res.

So now the products are available to buy, how long will it take anti-DRM activists to create a workaround for the DRM embedded in these things?

I give it a week.
DRM needs to die.

The VGA standard is like 50 years old. Who knows when DVI is going to die; it's not needed until past 1920x1200.

I really wish companies would stop playing standards wars and just pick a standard and push it out instead of developing competing overlapping standards.

Two DVI connectors? I thought you could run a 30" LCD with one dual-link DVI connection?

Does this mean no more analog output, so I can't use a cheap adapter and run my CRT from it?

I guess I'm going to have to buy an LCD one of these days.

First announced maybe, but considering it may be available sometime late 2008 it may not be the first shipped or they could change their mind. Announced means squat.

It will need some other connectors to sell in quantity. I have yet to see all the announced Display port HD players and video cards.
