What's wrong with DVI? I heard there's bandwidth limitations but only at crazy high res.

So now the products are available to buy, how long will it take anti-DRM activists to create a workaround for the DRM embedded in these things?

The VGA standard is like 50 years old. Who knows when DVI is going to die; it's not needed until past 1920x1200.
I really wish companies would stop playing standards wars and just pick a standard and push it out instead of developing competing overlapping standards. |

Does this mean no more analog output, so I can't use a cheap adapter and run my CRT from it?

Sooooo.....let's say I buy one of these. How do I run it? Is there some sort of DVI->Display port adapter?

First announced maybe, but considering it may be available sometime late 2008 it may not be the first shipped or they could change their mind. Announced means squat.
It will need some other connectors to sell in quantity. I have yet to see all the announced Display port HD players and video cards. |
