I already see some trolling and I think that the 2x00 series is a dog, but honestly, stuff like this happens every now and then with every manufacturer.

OEMs are eating up the 2400s and 2600s like crazy. AMD is making thin margins from them, however. But considering its perf compared to 8600s, then it's understandable. With low tdp, good price, these things are selling crazy to the OEMs - not too confident in the retail market, however.
the inq even claims 'millions' being sold http://www.theinq.net/default.aspx?article=41329 |

None of the problems with ATI recently are a surprise. It's going to take AMD time to fully integrate ATI and get things running smoothly. They have done a pretty good job with the chipsets as that's closer to what they know. However graphics cards are totally new to them. I would be more surprised if there was not any problems.

"Luckily, DigiTimes has heard from vendors that only a "small number" of defective cards have actually made it out of the channel and into consumers' PCs. "
In other words sales suck. Haha I kid. I'll be nice and say that since it's the new shipment they haven't been on the shelf long enough to sell. |

I'm actually more surprised that a manufacturer has sold 30,000 cards than the fact that they're defective.

I'm not the only one with this problem.
