I don't get how this could be a 2900 XTX when with a 256bit bus it is likely slower than a 2900 XT.

It is a hoot reading that thread. Obviously the translation algorithm is, indeed, still a beta. I'm sure it's not an easy task to create one of those with high accuracy. Terrific pictures on that post.

Is it UVD enabled? If it is then two of these in Crossfire would probably be nice.
