Is Documents anything like OO, but just online?

I have no clue what % microsoft has in the home, but I do know that when people hear "free" and "works with everything" - that's what they go for.

Then this is not even real competition to Google Documents. Part of the appeal of the google product is the ability to open and change documents no matter what crap PC you are on as long as it has internet access. I don't know how many times I have worked with groups for school and my team mates don't own MS Office.

And don't even get me started on this only working with IE.

Quite frankly, I'm a fan of Microsoft's "software plus online services" strategy. The Scott McNealy/Larry Ellison idea of the Network Computer is bogus, but a blend of personal computers with hard drives collaborating with online services is actually a pretty fantastic plan. :D
