When I install these drivers to replace the 7.9 drivers. I get a 4bit display that you can change in control panel but doesn't change on screen.

on a AGP X1950Pro.

So I go ahead and uninstall the drivers, then run the ATI cleanup and reboot. On boot up winXP tells me that my hardware has change to many time and I need to reactivate, haha. WinXP was able to reactivate easly over the net.

Hmmm. XP32 won't install for Win2K; fails with message that I don't have a 64bit OS. This hasn't happened before in the past with the XP32 driver.

Update:

I tried using device manager to activate the install inf, but no go. I did not see anything obvious in the ini or inf files to modify.

DANG IT!! I just isntalled 7.9 on my fresh install!!!! i waited overnight for the new driver to come out this morning and I thought it didn't.
