So it looks like it comes out Nov. 2nd.

I wonder when the 80gb is gonna drop to 499$. I didn't realize it hadn't already, so I'll wait until that price cut goes into effect before I buy that version. Hopefully it happens at the same time.

Let's recap the consoles. Just an opinion and no flaming. :)

PS3
Everyone can conclude that PS3 doesn't warrant a purchase because games library is mediocre currently and still expensive if you want the full version. Let's not forget their Final Fantasy franchise, Metal Gear, Gran Turismo, franchise. Not to mention all those import games that aren't available for PC or xbox.

xbox360
Xbox360 was built around PC game library. Most of the games are available for PC and even exclusives like "Gears of War" is coming to PC. Basically if you have a decent PC you don't need a xbox 360. Microsoft brings PC games to the mass at a decent price. That's just the way I see it.

Wii
Wii is something different and kind of of appeal for the general mass with easy to play party games and cool exclusives like zelda, mario, metroid. Once the party fizz goes adults won't play too much of it except maybe kids. What nintendo needs to do is incorporate regular style controller and semi better graphics with 720p support. It's 2007 not 1995...

None of the consoles appeal to me currently. Either it's over priced or don't need it because I have all the games already available for PC. I played wii with my brother in law but I don't see myself playing wii for 4 hour sessions swinging the wii remote with crappy graphics by myself. For party it's cool.

This is Sony's way of forcing BR down onto the market and hopefully get enough marketshare to convince tier #1 developers to make exclusive content down the road.
