Sheesh, all this whining over there being too many models or naming prefixes/suffixes. Too many is far better a situation than not enough.

GT? Are...*gasping for air*...Are you freakin' kidding me? Are those guys over there so lame they can't think of any new letters themselves? Now they have to use letters associated to Nvidia cards ?

I think everything AMD releases should be in a black box, quietly. It's done them well.

Firing Squad ran some benchies. It get's owned by the 8800 GT (oh what a surprise). Performance on par with X1950 Pro and a little better than the 8600 GTS. Does VERY well in UT03.

AMD, feel free to quietly roll it back in. It's big, it's hot, it sucks alot of juice, and did I mention that it's *slow*, too? We don't want it.

Hey I reported the news. Hehe.
Looks interesting and priced alright but only 256mb vram can be a killer on modern games. |

Too many! Can't....keep...product....lines...straight!
If a geek like me has a hard time keeping all these sorted, then a normal consumer who won't know/care about chips, RAM, bus, etc, doesn't stand a chance. If this is unintentional, then they need to get a clue, if it is intentional, then they need to burn in hell. |

THEY BETTER KEEP IT QUIET! This will be a useless product in a week when the RV670's hit. 3rd parties are just getting rid of all these old R600 chips they have piled up.
