I found Ubuntu 7.10 much easier to use and easier on the eyes than Fedora 7.
I'm downloading Fedora 8 right now to see how that one stacks up. |

Forget it. There's a greater guarantee apps run on Ubuntu without crashing because devs consider operation on Ubuntu a higher priority. Ubuntu's install base is larger.
Example, when running Asterisk (PBX software) on a dual Opty running Fedora, crash and burn randomly with IRQ issues. Ubuntu saved my project and my job. |

just brew it! |
Damnit, I had already downloaded (but hadn't gotten around to installing yet) Fedora 7. Now I gotta download the whole frikkin' thing again!
Maybe I'll use the nice fast connection at work, and throw it onto an external USB drive... |

Hey guys, typo on the second line, it should read fedora not fedroa :)
Back on topic, this does look interesting, having played around with a friends ubuntu install as well as a fedora 7 one, i might be tempted to load this onto my comp as a dual booter. |

Great for servers and virtualization though (Xen), but it should support vmware out of the box too.
