Not even a 15 pin VGA connector for the INTEGRATED graphics? wth...whoever said in a comments a while ago about the Intel integrated scene sucking was right. Also why use an extra chip for 100Mbps LAN when the ICH7 has a LAN on it? Or is that the 100Mbps port controller?

Imagine the graphics card cooler that could be mounted on there. It appears to have 3 slots' worth of space available.

Mybe they just had a huge stock of this particular PCB laying around, and maybe there was a supply of 945's cheap, and figured they could make a little bit of profit by selling boards like this for a very low price rather than destroying them. So there might be 10,000 of these put onto the market but when they're gone, they're gone.

They already have a 945GC board too, the LG-95C, which supports Core2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813127032 How many people are buying the cheapest board they can find in order to install the fastest processor available? The LG-95C is better in a way, it has an x4 PCIe slot that's physically x16. Poor placement though.

Incidentally, dual-channel DDR2-667 is perfectly matched for bandwidth with a 1333MHz bus.

Hmmm. The I45D actually appears to be the IP35V board with about an inch and a half to 2 inches chopped off the long edge, with the SATA and IDE ports rearranged and the second pair of memory slots removed to compensate, and one PCIe x1 slot removed. A few components are moved slightly, but it looks like they just modified the IP35V and did some re-routing of traces. The P35 seems to be the same basic board too, and the FP-IN9, and AW9D. Man, Abit's getting some life out of that original layout.

I fail to see the point of this board when 965 prices are likely dropping fast.

Ahh...engrish...gotta love it. Still this is surprising...I bought an end of the line 945 board a year ago, I figured this chipset was dead.

Is it just me or does this board seem to be missing a lot of ports?

Not surprising that a 945-board can support Penyrn-based units.

What matters is the VRM standard. It has not change since the depute of the Conroe-based units.

This board better be $50 or less.
