Um, I thought it was strange that the Y510 has a GMA 3100. One would assume, then, that the board is based off the Santa Rosa chipset, and therefore would benefit from supporting DDR2-800… but huh? DDR2-667 across all models? Doesn't make sense.

I really like the inclusion of a numpad on the Y710. I've gotten so used to using one on a regular basis that whenever I use my mom's laptop I usually hit a bunch of random keys until I remember it doesn't have one. I do think that they should include a 1680x1050 screen, though. 17" on a laptop is an awful lot of real estate for a measly 1440 x 900 resolution. Heck, my brother's laptop with a 14" screen has a 1680x1050 resolution.
