What happened? I checked the Dell site for 2 solid days now and nothing. Although Dell has people thinking they have this monitor up for sale, it doesn't? Or is it for special customers only or something? Interesting...

The prices for 24" monitors are dropping like a rock. Only $308 for this one;
http://www.ecost.com/Detail/Monitors/Soyo/MT-GW-PRLM24D4/40125078.aspx It was $314 last week. |

What's with the 16:10 aspect ratio? Why not make it a little cheaper and give us 1920x1080?

I don't care about the fluff (extra connectors) is the core screen better. The last one lagged, had inverse overdrive ghosting and like all PVA screens did the black crush like crazy.
Fix all the fundamental and you can strip the card reader and half the connections. |

I think this is the monitor I've been waiting for. :)
I bought the Dell 27 incher back in June of last year, ended up returning it because of a panel issue that would cause the left side of the screen to be slightly brighter than the right. I even had Dell send me a 2nd screen to see if it was just a defect in the first, same issue on the second one. It wasn't noticeable in regular use, but in games with dark scenes (think F.E.A.R.) it was really distracting when you could see the textures of the wall on one side of the screen for example. Also (but to a lesser extent) I wasn't happy the 27" didn't have a HDMI connection, but was willing to give that up if the screen was perfect. It's a shame this model here doesn't use the new 30" and the 27" styling, I like that over the kind with the circular buttons, but meh, if this panel performs well, I'll buy it. |

Uh, that's 1920 x 1200 resolution (you scared me there for a second).
