What about their Superbowl ad? If i was a consumer who bought a HD-DVD player I would be pissed when Toshiba officially anounce the death. Can you smell a class action coming?

Hmm, that link above could be widely intepreted. Here is the key phrase"

"The company source told Reuters that Toshiba was in the final stages of planning to exit the HD DVD business and that an official decision would be made soon."

Based on this statement, Toshibo could close shop tomorrow (for HD DVD), or simply start the plans for doing so, which could take months.
