Ahh, well, I couldn't wait.

Bought a Penryn-based ThinkPad T61 this week, and am very happy with it.

Specs on Montevina are certainly interesting, though.

I'm more interested in whether the new chips will be drawing even more power than Santa Rosa, and I'm not just talking about the CPU. Santa Rosa was a step back compared to Napa-R, with Vista at the same time this really makes current generation notebooks take a nosedive in battery life. :(
