Vista runs like a slug on all but the most modern hardware. Trying to run it on hardware like the EEE has would be fool hardy.

Looks like the Microsoft Mafia got to them. ;)

So be it. Eventually either Microsoft is going to have to eat the cost or the manufacturers will. Linux sure isn't ever eating the cost.
