Comments for: AMD details schedule for new Phenoms, platforms

AMD's stock is bound to go up from $6.50. I may buy 100 shares just for the hell of it. They'll get up to $10+ in a few months if they follow up on these plans. So far their graphics division alone is helping things along tremendously.

I thought that the tri-core Phenoms were supposed to be able to scale higher than their quad-core counterparts, why max out at 2.4 GHz when the quad-cores are coming out at 2.5 GHz?

With the triple core boxes coming down the line soon, why wouldn't we see higher Ghz numbers for those chips?

I wonder how capable the tri-cores will be for folding. They might not be a bad buy if they're not too overpriced. I doubt they'd charge too much for failed quad core chips.
